About Synapse

Behavioral Recovery Software Built for Long-Term Change

Synapse Rewire develops behavioral recovery software built for long-term change and daily accountability for people who want a structured way to change compulsive habits. The product connects plans, daily records, urge tools, progress indicators, contextual AI guidance, and optional browser enforcement. Its purpose is practical self-management; Synapse does not present itself as a healthcare provider or a substitute for professional care.

Why the product exists

Blocking a site can remove access, and counting a streak can show continuity, but neither alone explains what happened or supports the next action after a difficult day. Synapse is designed around a longer loop: plan, check in, notice triggers, review progress, and recover without deleting useful history.

What Synapse builds

The repository contains the Synapse web application, authenticated recovery features, public educational guides, server endpoints and Firebase functions, and the Synapse Shield Chrome extension. Learn more on our Synapse Rewire Overview page.

Product boundaries

Synapse metrics are software feedback, not clinical measurements. AI messages may be inaccurate. Automated crisis-language checks are imperfect and do not make Synapse an emergency service. Read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for details.
